Title: The Heart Already Knows
Author: D.L. SchizoAuthoress
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: 'Under the Red Hood' animated movie
Warnings: mild swearing, retconning comics canon out of the movie
Prompt/Fill: from [livejournal.com profile] batstalker Dick, Jason: Rooftop dance.
Word Count: 1718
Summary: Test runs and overtures at friendship...
Word of the Day: expostulate - verb:
To reason earnestly with someone against something that person intends to do or has done.

Note: Thanks go out to Sephet and Faile_Neume for putting up with my flailing over this story idea, to Daggerpen for doing the same and nudging me in the direction that it pretty much had to go, and to Shobogan for being the best Babs roleplayer ever and helping me find the character's voice. I split this into two parts because I've been sitting on this story FOREVER.

"The heart already knows what the mind can only dream of, trust your heart."
-- Unknown

The Heart Already Knows

He didn't have much chance to get to know Jason when he was alive.

No, that's a lie. He had his chances, but he rarely ever took them. He'd been angry with Bruce, too angry to see past his own hurt and rejection to the young boy in need of a guiding hand. In need of a big brother.

Oh, he didn't stay away the entire time that Jason was acting as Robin. After Alfred mentioned his growing concerns over how violently angry Jason could get with certain criminals, Dick managed to swallow his pride long enough to go back to the manor and at least attempt to socialize with his replacement.

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] saphire_dance's idea of writing a fanfic for 'prompts' from her Word-a-Day calendar, I went to Dictionary.Com for their Word of the Day. I kind of stole her idea and wrote about very-early-post-COIE Jason Todd. ^^;;;

Title: Handle With Care
Author: D.L.SchizoAuthoress / [livejournal.com profile] schizoauthoress
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Nothing that I can think of. Timeline is vague.
Warnings: Gender-bender. Possible Tim-bashing (I don't think it is, but I admit he's my least favorite Robin). Insensitive jokes from a character that doesn't know better yet.
Word Count: 1082
Prompt: any, any, pretty like a girl
Summary: Maybe they were expecting him to make an ugly girl... truth is, he's not a girl at all.

This story is part of the Curse!verse and is a direct sequel. Click on the link, or the "fiction: dcu: curse!verse" tag to read the previous parts.

(Urk. I need to reformat my tags... probably c: instead of chara:... when I'm not so sleepy.)

I hope that this chapter wasn't too confusing. Like I said, in the narration, Jason is referred to as "she" and "her" (although sharp readers will note that I tried to avoid pronoun use in places); the characters (with notable exception) are still thinking of Jason as "he" and "him".

I know that the prompt says Pre-Crisis Jay and Alfred, but Alfred informed me that he was far too busy to appear in my story for much longer than he did, and Bruce wanted to get some attention. My Bruce muse has only EVER spoken up when I write Pre-Crisis or Pre-Crisis-esque stuff. I don't think the Batman in my head likes being Batdick the Batgod.

Title: Jason and the Dessert Dilemma
Author: D.L.SchizoAuthoress
Rating: G
Spoilers: This version of the universe got wiped out over twenty years ago. I ain't spoilin' a damn thing.
Warnings: Pre-Crisis Batman! Pre-Crisis Jason Todd! Rampant enthusiasm and good cheer!
Prompt: DCU, Pre-crisis Jason Todd and Alfred Pennyworth, stealing cake
Word Count: 947
Summary: In which Jason Todd, formerly of Sloan Circus and the Flying Todds, reveals himself to be a superlative abuser... among other terrible things.
