Prompt: Power Rangers, Trini, Whenever Trini morphs, her body becomes male. She's surprised at how comfortable she feels with a male body and starts to question her gender identity.
Summary: It's not a simple question -- she can answer with what's true, or with what her family thinks is 'right'...

Author's Notes:
1) I'm a very casual fan of "Power Rangers", having only watched the first and second season (and eventually giving up a couple episodes after 'The Power Transfer') so I don't know about what came after. I did some research, but I'm not claiming that anything I establish here is remotely canon. Heh.
2) Okay, name-nerd here, and I admit it. "Kwan" as Trini's last name is kind of problematic, because that's just not how Vietnamese should be romanized. The "Kwan" spelling is much more common as the surname of a Chinese person, or a Korean given name. It was really hard to find out how her surname 'should be' written; "Quan" is probably the closest. For simplicity's sake, though, I'll spell the Vietnamese version of her name with her canon surname.

I so did not expect that the pinch hitter would drop out, too. So I basically Niska-ed my muse until she came out with this... not exactly what you were expecting, I think, but I hope 2ndary_author likes it anyway.

Notes: Title taken from a hymn, "As the Sun Doth Daily Rise", which is -- according to my source -- from the Latin, translated by J. Masters and adapted by Horatio Nelson. In other words, it's not mine. I trimmed a verse from what I quote (as church services are wont to do, so I figure there's at least precedent) since I just couldn't fit it in.

Thanks to my beta-reader, bluezybunny for the grammar/spelling check. Sadly, I don't have any fellow Dresden Files fans on my flist that I could ask for a beta, so any errors in canon are mine and mine alone.
