Title: Impasse
Author: D.L.SchizoAuthoress
Rating: G
Spoilers: none, just this is a "Tana didn't die" AU
Prompt: "Give me a couple and I'll write a drabble about them as parents." Daggerpen on Tumblr prompted me with Kon/Tana
Warnings: none
Word Count: 330
Summary: No bed! says Kon and Tana's young child.
Word of the Day: ensconce, verb:
1. To settle securely or snugly.
2. To cover or shelter; hide securely.

Impasse

"Kamaka Moon, you come down from the ceiling this instant,” Tana Moon said sternly, craning her neck to look at her child. “It’s bedtime!”

Kamaka shook their head sharply and pressed more into the high corner of the room. “Not sleepy! No bed!” Despite the proclamation, Kamaka couldn’t stop a yawn.

"I am not going to ask you again." Tana folded her arms over her chest and tapped her foot once against the hardwood floor. "One."

"I would do what she tells you, Kam honey," Kon-El Moon warned as he walked into the living room where the confrontation was taking place, sounding quietly amused.

"Two!" Tana said, with another tap of her foot.

Kamaka glared down at their parents with a mighty pout on their little brown face. Kon quirked up an eyebrow at the fierce expression. He didn’t even need to glance at his wife to know that she was matching their child’s expression almost exactly.

And then Kamaka stuck their tongue out at both parents.

Tana sucked a breath in sharply through her nose. And Kon knew that Kamaka had pushed just a little too far. He reached his tactile telekinesis through the floor and up the wall, grabbing on to Kamaka and propelling the child downward as though on an invisible elevator. Kamaka squealed with surprise — but no fear — and their less developed TTK poked at the stronger kinetic force wrapped around them.

"I don’t know why you don’t want to sleep, Kamaka," Kon said, walking slowly toward the child, "but you know not to make rude faces to Mommy and Daddy."

Hearing the disappointment in Daddy’s voice made Kamaka’s defiant expression crumple. “S-sorry, Mommy! Sorry, Daddy!”

Tana approached too, her voice more gentle than before. “Why ‘no bed’, darling?”

"Monsters!"

"Oh, Kamaka," Kon said with a little laugh, as he scooped up their child and hugged them tight for a moment. "Don’t you know? There’s no monsters in our house. Mommy scares them away."

Title: Dissolution I
Author: D.L.SchizoAuthoress
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Fortress!verse AU -- this references an event in "Superboy and the Ravers" but only in passing, and fills in time between Match's debut storyline and 'Meltdown'.
Warnings: mild language, bb!clones being adorable
Prompt/Fill: Any, any, this is exponentially worse
Word Count: 4262
Summary: It's a clone thing, and a family thing.
Word of the Day: hieratic, adjective: 1. Highly restrained or severe in emotional import: Some of the more hieratic sculptures leave the viewer curiously unmoved.

Note: I'm writing this so I can write you "Adventus"; I'm cutting it in two because the second half is fighting being written. XD Chronologically, this is the second story in the "Fortress!verse" AU.

Chyna Layne is a New York born actress.

Because Tana Moon's skin tone in the beginning matches that of Sam Makoa (a man who is canonically full-blooded Hawaiian), I assumed she was Hawaiian as well. On panel, she states that she is "part-Hawaiian" but does not elaborate on the rest.

Apparently, there is a lettercol where she is stated to be half-black, half-Hawaiian. (I haven't seen it.) Chyna Layne comes closer to that background than my other fancast, since Chyna is half-Jamaican and half-Filipino.

Title: Sing for the Hopeless
Author: D.L.SchizoAuthoress
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Superboy v3 #73 and #74, a little bit for "Sins of Youth", but it goes AU from #74
Warnings: AU! Large swaths of action and dialogue are lifted from the issues, because that's how I roll. Violence and mild language warning. Some allusions to torture.
Prompt/Fill: Any, any, all is all, you're no good, you don't cry like you should. (Breaking Benjamin)
Word Count: 6098
Summary: Dubbilex makes the right move, and the consequences of that action build up to be startling.
Note: this is a prequel written to set up a story for a prompt from dokuhan
Word of the Day: fabulist, noun:
1. A liar.
2. A person who invents or relates fables.

Sing for the Hopeless

'Go to Habitat.'

The thought was a command, but it also felt like a thought of his own. Dubbilex walked through the halls of the Cadmus Project, turning aside the attention of anyone he encountered. It was easy to escape their notice, both because it was a simple telepathic push to keep their brains from recognizing that he was there and because he'd been doing it for such a long time. There was an odd pulse of amusement, again seeming to come from within and without simultaneously.

Then he became aware of the Gene-Gnome... the only friend and ally he had left at the Cadmus Project. It must have been the Gnome's idea to leave for the tree-city. Dubbilex did not mind. It was a good idea to see what Superboy and his allies had planned.

He walked on, complacent.

Spoilers: Superboy v3, between issue #12 and #13
Warnings: teenage jerks
Word Count: 1081

Word of the Day: gasconade -
noun: 1. Extravagant boasting; boastful talk.
verb: 1. To boast extravagantly; bluster.

Public Opinion

"Oh, look at me, I'm Superboy! Did you know, I have tactile telekinesis!"

"Hahaha!"

For a split second, Tana's free hand twitched toward her large Soder, and then she fought down the urge to throw it. They were just stupid teenage boys, loud and rowdy and trying too hard to impress people. Well, one of them looked to be college-age, but appearances could be deceiving.
