"The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up!" Bart declared with a grin.
Max raised an eyebrow at that, and intoned flatly, "I'm sure you're trying to talk me into something that will cheer you up, Bart."
Bart grinned, in what he hoped was a winning expression, "I might be... is it working?"
"Depends. Did you do something you need to distract me from?"
"No-ooo..." Bart tried to look as innocent as possible, drawing a look of skepticism from his guardian.
"Are you sure?"
Bart bit his lip. "Maybe not?"
Max sighed deeply and ran a hand through his grey, grey hair. "Okay. What happened?"
"It wasn't my fault, Max, I swear! Everything went crazy when the goat showed up!"
