Event Horizon

Posting with DW because LJ's been blocked forever here.

So we're probably going to stay off the phones all day, letting Hickory and Phoenix work it out. There are people in Ready mode that aren't us, so they MUST be working. Patrick and I plan to hop on sometime around 7:30, 7:45 to clear the queue at the end of the day.

They are serving ice cream -- allowing us to make banana splits. I grabbed a waffle-bowl, and scooped out plenty of strawberry and vanilla, little bit of chocolate, drizzle of chocolate syrup, dollop of Cool Whip, and one cherry -- finished off by two banana quarters around the waffle-bowl. And I've had two people jokingly ask me to make their banana splits for them. ^_^ Mmm, ghetto Neapolitan....

Honestly, I think enough of us commented, with varying levels of seriousness, about doing something not-nice on the phones (yelling at customers in an Arnold voice, robot voice, or what have you; answering with "Yeah, what do you want?"; et cetera) that they are just not taking chances at this point.
