Wrestled out a little bit more of "Descent", as mentioned in my interview with 'The TS Project'.

Little bit of progress with the whole "finishing up promised customs" thing.

Also, I never received that Pizzazz-in-Jem's-dress that I bought on eBay (only realizing this after I could have reported it, more's the pity) and so I was looking for other Pizzazzes recently.

I bid on two, thinking that the nice complete one would be sniped away from me, but no! Now I have TWO Pizzazz dolls to pay for once my PayPal funds come through. I suppose that's all right (though I would have LOVED to put Jem's original dress on one of my many Jem dolls), seeing as I have First Edition Jem/Jerrica (who, given her faded hair, will always be Jerrica), Glitter and Gold Jem/Jerrica, and TWO Rock 'n' Curl Jem/Jerrica. The only one I don't have is Flash 'n' Sizzle Jem/Jerrica, which is funny, because based on the only JEM tape I remember having, that's the one doll I got as a child.

I also got outbid on a lot of G3 ponies (which would have helped with the whole customs thing, in addition to whenever I get around to making more X-Men Ponies), but I am not worried about it. There are a few others that I am watching which I might be able to bid on later.

Speaking of customs, I know I freaked out a little talking about JEM customs earlier, but one of my doubles (Stormer this time) had a loose waist. I decided that there was one character I could make that no one seemed to have made...and it seemed fitting, given the base I was working with. I have painted the head of Lin-Z Pierce! ^_^ (The poor woman only has three outfits in the whole series...has anyone ever tried to design more for her? And I don't mean simply updating that orange and green thing she was stuck in for years!)

ETA: I completed him! Here's a link to the thread on MLP Arena where I show him off!

I told you I had the Cajun in progress!

I made his costume in layers -- even though a lot of this layer is going to be covered by his trenchcoat, I wanted to have it underneath (especially the collar and boots) to give a bit of weight and realism to the look. I mixed a little bit of Black into my Silver Sculpey to make his collar and the trim, and his boots. (The larger part of the collar has blue-black lines like the cartoon version, and a bluish finish.) His headpiece and gloves are blue-black with a bit of Satin Varnish mixed in to shine. The top of the bodysuit and the stripes on the legs are a mix of red and magenta paint.

Gambit's hair is Chocolate, with a few 'strands' of blended Chocolate-and-Black. Most of the reference pictures showed him with his hair sticking up or "poofier" on the right side, so I used longer 'locks' on the right side. My Gambit doesn't have that sissy-ass long hair, no sir.

He also has a six-inch fighting staff -- a piece of wire with Sculpey rolled around it. (In contrast, the pony itself is about three, four inches tall. I figured it fit.) I'm definitely going to make a few playing cards as accessories also. Not sure if I want a cigarette hanging out of his mouth or just a pack of cigs in one pocket of his trenchcoat. My Gambit also smokes, dammit.

(If I ever cave and make a Wolverine, he's coming with a cigar, too. Screw this no-smoking policy Marvel has nowadays.)
