( Dani is a bad, bad, bad friend. Tim requested this back during the first Drabble Meme and I never got around to writing it. )
I don't know if this is any good, as I've fallen so far behind on 'Naruto' fandom. But this fits the confines of Tim's original request: "Someone dies, someone is born" and it's set early enough in the series that I don't think I got anything wrong (except maybe one name).
