Half-asleep, I can feel the strings

even my fingers flexing are a fascination

and I don't want to wake up

Awake is when people ignore me

Belittle me

Disbelieve

But the worst is when they ignore me

So I would rather

Sleep

And there won't be a charming prince

or princess

To wake me with a kiss

But that's all right

The skin I'm in doesn't fit me anyway.
