Note: This is a side-story that doesn't deal with Kon/Von, but it takes place in the same universe (and the same Christmas season as "Adventus II")

Summary: Serling makes a bit of a fool of herself, and Jim is oblivious. It's practically tradition at this point.
Word of the Day: velleity, noun:
1. Volition in its weakest form.
2. A mere wish, unaccompanied by an effort to obtain it.
Traditions
Have you come across the word velleity? A nice Thomistic ring to it. Volition at its lowest ebb. A small thing, a wish, a tendency. If you're low-willed, you see, you end up living in the shallowest turns and bends of your own preoccupations.

There are some truly time-honored traditions, especially around Christmas time. These traditions carry reminders of happier times, of childhood and family -- renewing aware of Christmas as a time to strive for peace and goodwill.
