Today I got the last electric bill for my old apartment, and a letter from the management company that runs those apartment buildings.
Minus $30 for the bill, but plus nearly $500 from the apartments. I was like, whoa, how the hell did that happen?
Turns out that the security deposit was actually double what I thought it was (200 instead of the only $100 I've been telling people), and I ended up paying for the last month's rent twice. It was so long ago that we set up the original lease, that I forgot about that facet of the deal. So they took about $250 from the roughly $700 I had in credit, and sent me that check.
Is that awesome or what?!
